Employee policy

Working environment and protection measures for personal safety of employees:

The Company strives to provide employees with a safe and healthy working environment and hold educational training on labor safety on a regular basis. For personal health, the Company holds health examination for employees every year and allows employees to better understand their health condition through diverse health seminars (including consultation with doctors stationed in plants on a monthly basis). For work safety, the Company cultivates employees’ emergency response ability and safety concepts through continuous educational training and promotion to enhance employees’ acknowledgement and reduce the chance of accidents caused by unsafe behaviors.

 

Communication channel:

The Company actively establishes communication channels with employees. Employees may reflect their opinions and communication with the Company through regular meetings, such as employee seminars, Employee Welfare Committee, Pension Monitoring Committee, Labor Safety and Health Committee and Labor-Employer meetings, and through channels of industrial labor union, administrative system, and employee complaint system.

In addition, the Company established industrial labor union in May 1989 to improve work efficiency and working conditions for labors and to closely coordinate labor-employer opinions. In 1995, the Company signed a collective agreement with the industry labor union in accordance with the Labor Union Act and Collective Agreement Act, aiming at protecting the rights of labors and employer and at harmonizing relationship. All employees are protected under this agreement The labor union holds a member congress every year, and members elect member representatives through voting. The labor union summons directors and supervisors meeting on a monthly basis to discuss issues regarding employees. The Company is invited to attend the meeting.
