Nancar® NBR

Description

Nancar® NBR, produced by Nantex at its production facilities located in Kaohsiung and Zhenjiang, is a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. It has excellent oil resistant properties, and finds applications in rubber parts for automotives and industries requiring such.

Nantex began production of Nancar® NBR in 1982 after having acquired manufacturing technology from the then U.S. based-B.F. Goodrich, whose Hycar® NBR remains to be one of the most recognized NBR brands in the world. The same technology was also authorized for licensing to NBR manufacturers in other parts of the world.

Apart from the traditional grades that were derived from the B.F. Goodrich HYCAR® NBR technology, Nantex has, over the years, diligently researched and developed its own technology, and has, along the way, launched new offerings distributed to many parts of the world. This aptly reflects the international level that Nancar® NBR has achieved in terms of quality and technology.

With the establishment and start-up of our subsidiary Zhenjiang Nantex Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. in China, Nancar® NBR has become the current leading brand in the greater China region.

NANCAR® is the registered trademark of nitrile rubber manufactured by Nantex Industry Co., Ltd.

Applications :
Nancar® NBR grades are generally categorized according to levels of acrylonitrile (ACN) content and Mooney viscosity. Nancar® NBR can be found in diverse applications such as industrial and automotive rubber parts requiring good oil resistance, rubber products requiring a good balance of oil and low temperature resistance. These rubber products include fuel hoses, belts, oil seals, gaskets, printing rollers, shoe soles, to name a few.

(1) High ACN content% (36%-43%)
(2) Medium-to-high ACN content % (31%-36%)
(3) Medium ACN content% (25%-31%)
(4) Low ACN content% (<25%)
(5) Carboxylated rubber (XNBR)
