The Beginning
The 1970's in Taiwan saw the government drafting plans to strengthen the petrochemical industry in the island through the setting up of a petrochemical complex in Lin-Yuan, Kaohsiung, Southern Taiwan. In response, major domestic conglomerates and business groups agreed to set up operations in what was to be called the Lin-Yuan Petrochemical Complex.

One of the biggest Taiwanese conglomerates, the President Group of Companies, which groups together such corporate giants as President Enterprise and Tainan Spinning, heeded the call for participation. 1978 saw the birth of President Fine Chemicals Industry Corp. The company was to be renamed to Nantex Industry Co., Ltd., today a manufacturer of synthetic rubber latex, acrylonitrile-butadiene (NBR) rubber, inner shoe soles, carbon masterbatch compounds and TPE.

Management Philosophy
The spirit of our management philosophy lies in our relentless pursuit of what is better for this company, our customers and society.

Management Motto
The service of our customers' needs and satisfaction. The growth and profitability of this company. The achievement of the greatest benefits for our stockholder and employees.

Safety & Environmental Protection
The whole Nantex organization, including the management and staff, recognizes and embraces the policy of uplifting personnel, equipment and operational safety, and environmental protection. In fact, environmental protection holds top position in the company's list of priorities, to be followed only by product quality, production cost minimization and production capacity optimization.

Efforts to protect the only world we know does not start and end with a company policy. Nantex is behind the promulgation and implementation of ways and means to making the workplace safer place for all employees, and the environment, a safer and cleaner place for the general public. These efforts are further supported by continuous investments in equipment and facilities.

The many years of hard work that have gone into making a concrete contribution to industrial safety and environmental protection have been recogized by the Labor Affairs Council, when from 1992 to 1994, it awarded to Nantex the highest 5th National Award for industrial Environmental Protection and the following year, the Three Plum Award for National Award for National Self Protection System.

The work and research toward achieving the twin goals of zero industrial accident and zero pollution will go on. Thanks to the proper guidance of its management, Nantex can look to the day when these twin goals are fully achieved.

Products and Technology that Work
We are proud of our products and technology that work for our market, and the overall design of our manufacturing units.

Nantex's plant has been purposely designed to be well integrated, housing five (5) manufacturing units that produce synthetic rubber latex, acrylonitrile-butadiene (NBR) rubber, inner shoe soles, carbon masterbatch compounds and TPE.

Understanding the merits of a vertically integrated plant, the synthetic rubber latex plant has been designed to produce latexes that serve not only the requirements of many different industries, but also latex that is used as a major raw material for our NBR and inner shoe sole plants. Our NBR plant, on the other hand, supplies the NBR requirements of Nantex's carbon masterbatch compounding plant.

Nantex's NBR technology was licensed from B.F. Goodrich of the United States. B.F. Goodrich, owners of the former Hycar brand elastomers, was one of the first to have brought to the world commercially produced and available nitrile rubbers. The Hycar nitrile rubber technology was also exported to other synthetic rubber producers outside the United States, specifically, to Japan and Great Britain.

Today, Nantex's expansion includes the production of new nitrile rubber grades based on in-house developed technology. The result has been more choices in grades and product properties, including faster curing, low mould fouling and improved flowability and resilience.  These new nitrile rubber grades, along with the licensed ones, are a proof that Nantex can and will deliver product and technology that work.

Nantex brings to the market expertise not only in nitrile rubber, but in other polymers as well.   We offer  various rubber compounds of most polymers, including ACM, EPDM, CR, FKM, apart from NBR. We deliver compounds not only to customers' recipes, but can work side by side with you in developing and producing custom rubber compounds.

To Nippon Zeon of Japan, one of the most important synthetic rubber producers in the world today, we owe our synthetic rubber latex technology.  From the original latex grades licensed to Nantex, modifications, revisions and improvements were introduced to make them even more suitable to our customers' needs.

The quest to deliver product and technology that work never ends.  From synthetic latex used in traditional applications such as coated paper and paperboard, carpet, non-wovens, artificial leather, Nantex has taken giant strides by coming up with new synthetic rubber latex grades for newer applications such as nitrile latexes for dipped goods like industrial and medical gloves, and styrene-butadiene latex used as cement modifier for the construction industry, to name a few.  These new grades are in-house developed, again, a further proof that Nantex can and will deliver product and technology that work.

Our expertise in the field of latex has put us in a position whereby we are able to develop or match the most suitable latex grade for our other major product: insole boards. Our insole boards are made from cellulose or non-woven web saturated with our in-house produced latex impregnation.

The growth of this product has prompted Nantex to set up additional production lines over the years to meet the ever-growing needs of the market. And thanks to our ability to deliver product and technology that work, we enjoy immense versatility in coming up with different grades and types of insoles that meet the needs of the market.
